Block Island
Block Island is 13 miles from The Ocean House. On a clear day you can see Block Island looking south east.
Capt. Jack will meet you on the dock in Watch Hill . The trip aboard ENCORE, a completly restored wooden Swordfish Boat (see Encore History) will take about 1 Hour. Arrive at the Block Island Great Salt Pond. Capt. Jack will drop you off and wait for your return or he can rent a car and give you a tour of Block Island, the secluded beaches, town, nature walks, light houses (2) and places to dine. For the Block Island tour the charter would be responsible for paying only for the cost of the auto.
Minimum Charter is a Full Day. Children 5 years minimum. Maximum six people.
Weather is a significant safety factor in open sea crossing. Capt. will determine weather factor up to 15 mins prior to the charter, as well as while underway and while on Block Island.
Leave Watch Hill 9 AM - Arrive Block Island Great Salt Pond 10 AM - Pick Up 4 PM - Arrive back Watch Hill 5:30.
Cost: $1,200 plus landing& dockage fee. Additional rental car fee if Charter wants to have Capt. Jack provide an Island tour and drive you around and wait for you to have your fun.
